Bagged Potty

Pre Purchase

Is the Bagged Potty suitable for my cat?

Only for cats over 6 months of age and weighing between 3.3 and 16.5 pounds.

We must be honest: due to the limitations of the drum design, cats weighing more than 16.5 pounds may not have enough room to stretch out comfortably, which could affect their bathroom experience.

Please give us a little time, we’ve made this a key focus for optimizing the next generation of Bagged Potty.

Bagged Potty

Post Purchase

Potty suddenly stops working, and the screen turns off

Please check the following:

  • Whether the power adapter is loose.
  • Whether the power cable is damaged.

Buttons are unresponsive

Child lock may be enabled. Press and hold the [Menu] and [Confirm] buttons for 3 seconds to unlock.

The drum does not rotate

  • Check whether the warning indicator light is on. If it is, please refer to the troubleshooting.
  • Make sure drum is properly installed, and latch is properly closed.
  • Check whether cat litter is trapped between the drum and the base.

Unusual noise during drum rotation

The drum may not be installed correctly.

Remove the top cover and drum, then reinstall the drum. Slightly lift the right side of the drum to adjust its position, close the lock, and confirm you hear a “click” sound.

Cat litter may be trapped between the drum and the base.

Remove the top cover and drum, and clean the base.

Weight readings are inaccurate

Causes:

  • Potty is placed on a soft carpet.
  • Objects are placed on top of the Potty.
  • Cat does not fully enter the drum.

Solutions:

  • Place the Potty on a level and stable surface. Leave at least 6 inches of space around the Potty.
  • Place the litter mat in front of the Potty. Do not press the mat under the Potty.
  • Recalibrate the weight sensor.
  • If your cat is still growing, update its weight information in the app. Pawdi app will recognize it as a different cat if the difference exceeds ±500g.

Waste remains inside the drum after cleaning

Stool may be too soft and not fully clumped, preventing proper sifting.

  • Try increasing the cleaning delay time in the app.
  • Please use clumping cat litter.
  • Press buttons to run [Clean Now].

Waste remains on the filter screen

Due to size limitations, waste may occasionally not fall completely through the screen. Manual cleaning may occasionally be required.

Odor removal performance seems weak

  • Increase the deodorization duration in the app.
  • Replace cat litter and carbon.
  • Clean drum and screen.

Voice prompts are too loud

You can turn off voice prompts in the app.

Operating noise affects sleep at night

Enable [Sleep Mode] in the app.

[Auto Clean] is not working

Kitten Mode or Scheduled Cleaning Mode may be enabled. Check and disable these modes in the app.

Waste bag is damaged

  • Check that the trash bag is installed correctly and has sufficient capacity.
  • Remove the bag, empty the waste drawer, and then install a new waste bag.

Cat litter stuck to the seal of the waste bag

Ensure waste bag is enough, run bagging cycle in the app.

Waste bag was used even though the cat did not defecate

Due to the infrared sensor's characteristics, exploratory behavior without defecation may still trigger a cleaning and bagging cycle. It is common when cats are first introduced to the potty, as they may repeatedly enter and exit out of curiosity.

During the initial adjustment period, we recommend turning off [Auto Clean] in the app and using Scheduled Cleaning or manually selecting [Clean Now] to reduce unnecessary bag usage.

Once your cat becomes familiar with the potty, you can enable [Auto Clean] again.

Pawdi App

Bagged potty does not appear on Add Device page.

  • Enable WiFi and Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Make sure Potty is in WiFi pairing mode.

Inaccurate Cat Identification

Bagged potty identifies cats by weight. If multiple cats are of similar weight, they may not be identifiable.

The app connection is interrupted, and controls are unresponsive

This may due to an unstable WiFi connection or a power interruption.

  • Please check your network environment and router settings.
  • Please make sure the power switch on the back of the device is turned on.
  • Restart the device and try reconnecting in the app.

The app shows the waste drawer “Almost Full” even though there is still space

Because sealed waste accumulates in the waste drawer, the capacity sensor may occasionally detect the drawer as full earlier than expected.

  • Remove the waste drawer and gently shake it before placing it back.
  • If the issue persists, please empty the waste drawer.

The weight unit is displayed in kg

After adding the device, you can change the unit to lb in: Device Settings > Operation > Switch Weight Unit.
